gardening with kids

Spring is in the air and it is time to start planning our garden. We’ve just dabbled in gardening for the the past few years, but this year I am serious about it! (Anyone who knows me is LOL right now because I can’t stand the heat & don’t like to get my hands dirty. :) ) Now that canned tomatoes creep me out, I need to figure out how to grow a bumper crop of tomatoes.

We are working our way through Exploring Creation with Botany and I want to get our kids involved with the garden experience. I will be using the two resources below.

Developing Christian Character Through Gardening is a free unit study offered by Roscommon Acres. It is a perfect fit for us right now!

Stay tuned because I will be posting lots of gardening links – some for school and some for gardeners. Come back tomorrow if you are interested in gardening journals!

book it! program

It’s time to enroll for the 2010-2011 Pizza Hut Book It! reading program.

Open to kids in grades K-6th, Book It! is a free program that rewards kids’ reading goals with pizza vouchers. Yum!
