Lunchtime on school days can get a little dull around here. Too often we resort to everyone fending for themselves and that gets boring.
I am going to try assigning certain foods to certain days so that we have a good variety every week. I will cook extra with evening meals so we can use the leftovers for lunch (taco meat, for example).
This list is just a brainstorm of homeschool lunch ideas. Not listed are side options: salad, fruit, veggie sticks, yogurt, applesauce, raisins, etc.
- We have a relaxed schedule on Mondays so it is a Whatever day.
- hot dogs (Oscar Mayer Select w/no nitrates or nitrites)
- frito pie
- brown rice
- stuffed baked potatoes
- sausage wraps
- pizza pockets
- chicken parmesan
- buttered pasta w/garlic & parmesan
- macaroni & cheese
- fish sticks
- popcorn chicken
- popcorn shrimp
- cheese ravioli (frozen)
- chicken quesadillas
- grilled cheese
- make-your-own lunchables
- BBQ sandwiches
- summer sausage, cheese & crackers
- soup & bread
