Pinterest Has My Interest

July 15, 2011 By: amyswandering15 Comments

Have you discovered Pinterest yet? I’ve been on it for a couple of months now and it is fascinating!

{Warning: it is also a black hole. You will lose all sense of time. :D}

Pinterest is a social bookmarking site for pictures. You Pin (bookmark) an image that you find on the internet and Pinterest saves it to your board and tags it with the website. You can also save other people’s pins.

You can see my boards HERE to get a better idea of how it works. You can also access my boards anytime with the button in my sidebar.

Leave your email in the comments if you want me to send you an invite – it will give you instant access instead of having to wait to be approved.

Please leave a link to your boards so we can all share in the fun!!

~I think I will start posting my favorite pins on Fridays. I am going to do the first one in a separate post because this one is long enough already!~

Create Your Own Tracing Book

July 14, 2011 By: amyswanderingcomment

If you have a beginner writer, then you are going to love all the goodies at Twisty Noodle!

There are pages and pages of tracing worksheets in very clever categories. Click on the worksheet you want and you will be able to choose Block, D’Nealian, or Cursive, and even change the text.

I am going to make a book for Sassyfrass out of seasonal pages. She can do a few each week and have a cute notebook full by the end of school. {See this post for the pages I am using. It is so cute!!}

Here are some ideas for custom tracing books:

Monsters & Aliens

Transportation

Tool Box

Girly Things

It’s a Zoo

Future Architect

Rainbow of Colors

Eat Your ABCs

Sign Language Alphabet

Fun Shapes

Toy Box

A is for … (all letters)

Sports Fan – add in one of these college teams

There are coloring pages in these same categories if you want to make a book for a younger child.

We could all use a good deal, and I have one for you today!

SaveMore is another in the long line of popular daily deal sites. Today’s deal can snag you some free stocking stuffers.

You can purchase an $11 voucher to AlwaysFits for only $5. You will get 1 $10 voucher for signing up with SaveMore, making it FREE!

Shipping is not included in voucher, but the value of the voucher may be applied towards shipping costs.
