New Year’s Eve Activities for Kids

New Year's Eve Activities for Kids

We’ve always spent New Year’s Eve at home with our kids. They are night owls, so staying up until midnight has never been a problem. We have a yummy appetizer dinner (this is my fave), play a game or two, and ring in the new year with noisemakers, confetti, & sparkling grape juice.

Some of our favorite New Year’s Eves were when we had all the cousins over to spend the night. Around 10:00, when everyone started to get a little bored, we would cover the living room floor with bubble wrap and let everyone go crazy. It was So LOUD, but super fun. One year we taped a plastic tablecloth to the ceiling and filled it with balloons and confetti. I think we were still finding confetti at Easter!

This year, we will be continuing the bubble wrap stomp-a-thon, playing Minute to Win It games, and munching on fried pickles.

I’ve rounded up some fun New Year’s Eve Activities for you to enjoy with your kids!

25% Off One Book at Amazon

December 12, 2014 By: amyswanderingcomment

12 days of deals

Today through December 14th, get 25% off any one book on Amazon with the code BOOKDEAL25  It is good for print books only, sold and shipped by Amazon, and has a limit of $10 off.

I am excited about this because my kiddos have several books on their Christmas list. Here is a peek at some of them:

blood of olympus

The Blood of Olympus is the newest book in the Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan, author of  Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

minecraft redstone

Minecraft Redstone Handbook is from the Minecraft Handbook Collection.

642 things to write about

642 Things to Write About Journal is filled with clever & funny writing prompts.

642 things to draw

642 Things to Draw Journal is filled with fun drawing prompts.

wreck this journal

Wreck This Journal takes creative writing to another level with activities that make a book protector (like me) cringe, but make my teen daughters giggle with delight. It has several cover options.

in my humble opinion

In My Humble Opinion Mini Journal is a tongue-in-cheek place to unload your true feelings. The cover reads “A journal to vent about why people are like that and why all the stupid things they do are so obvious to me…”.

a million little ways

A Million Little Ways: Uncover the Art You Were Made to Live is one I would recommend for the women on your list. I had to return my copy to the library before I had time to finish, but I was taking notes by page 5.

Do you have any great book recommendations on your Christmas list?
