I always do an apple theme for the first week of school. It is perfect for back to school, and hints at the coming Autumn season. There are some lovely children’s books in this list of Apple eBooks that can be borrowed for free through the Open Library system.
If you are not familiar with the Open Library, it is a collaboration with several libraries around the country to provide an online lending library. You can borrow five books at a time for two weeks.
I will be posting Open Library theme lists for each upcoming season and holiday. (Next up: Scarecrows) Be sure to follow my blog so you don’t miss any!

Hi Jackie,
I don’t have an apple eBook, but I have linked to apple eBooks that you can read for free through the Open Library system. You can view the list of titles at this link:

Simply register for free, and then click the green Borrow button beside the book. You can also save titles to your own list for future reference. Let me know if you have any questions!
