Comments are now closed. I will post here when I have a winner!
Shannon at Rocks In My Dryer is hosting a giveaway carnival , which goes hand in hand with my idea for the week:
This is what I’m giving away: A Home & Garden Party snowman candle holder (I’m an HGP Designer), peppermint candle, & Keeping Christ in Christmas by Steve Russo. Plus whatever else I throw in at the last minute. I stink at the whole camera thing, so click on the pic to get a better view.
Leave a comment with your email or blog link to enter. (US & Canada only please) I will draw the winner at noon Friday.
I will enter your name twice if you play along or link to !!
I will be sharing ideas, recipes, websites, etc. all week & you are invited to play along!
Here’s the schedule:
*Monday – Traditions How do you celebrate our Savior’s birth? What fun thing does your family do every year? What new tradition do you want to start?
*Tuesday – Crafts Share fun activities, websites, pictures of your projects
*Wednesday – Gifts Things to make, theme gifts, frugal ideas
*Thursday – Decorating Give us some creative ideas to enjoy the beauty of the season
*Friday – Food I know you all have some fabulous recipes!

I’m first!? Terrific! I am not kidding when I say I collect snowmen for the winter season. It made perfect sense when I lived in Maine. Now that I am in Nashville, it just reminds me of the old white Christmases I enjoyed as a child. Please count me in!

Traditions….
Advent calendar (magnetic navitity scene–we put the piece, a small piece of candy, and a simple verse behind each door for DD1)
DD1 and I have always made a “Happy Birthday Jesus” cake on Christmas Eve. We eat it while we open presents on Christmas morning.
Three presents per kid. Jesus got three, after all. 🙂
I have a plain treeskirt (solid red) and I put DD’s handprints on it each year in metallic paint. Now I have two DDs to “print” this year! 🙂

We got this idea from smoeone else but now we use it….our children get three gifts as well but they have to have MEANING. 1 gift is something they WANT, 1 gift is something they NEED, 1 gift is something that will help them grow with the Lord i.e. a Bible, a cross necklace, etc.
Please do enter me !

Fun idea. Our favorite tradition is our cookie making party. We have lots of snacks and my family enjoys making the same cookies we have made for many years. We have a blast decorating, snacking, and then sampling the baby cookies we make.

What great prizes! Since it’s Tuesday – my girls and I love crafts! Last Christmas we spent a couple of days making ornaments out of craft foam and cookie cutters. The girls would pick a Christmas cookie cutter, I would trace and cut it, and then they would adorn it with glitter, sequins, googly-eyes, etc. A hole punch in the top would allow for a ribbon hanger, and they were so proud to put them on “their” tree in the toy room! We will do it again this year, too.
Thanks!
