wfmw -backwards day

September 3, 2008 By: amyswandering6 Comments

It’s time for another Backwards Edition of WFMW, where I get to ask for a tip instead of give one. I’ve got two plaguing questions today:

1. Can you recommend a good heavy-duty, inexpensive iron? I would like to stay under $30, but I don’t know if that is realistic, so definitely nothing over $50.

2. Let’s talk coffee: I’ve only had the occasional cup here & there during my pregnancy, and I don’t want to go back to my 2 cup a day habit after the baby is born. I love my daily coffee, but hate being dependent on a caffeine fix. Do you know of a decaf brand that actually tastes like regular coffee? (And if you think most decaf tastes like regular coffee, well, thanks for the kind help but you are wrong :o) LOL

I look forward to reading your helpful answers – thanks!!!

Actually caffeine has no taste it is the decaffeinating process that changes the flavor. Do a little research and find a brand of coffee that uses only water no chemicals to decaffeinate. I’m a coffee-a-holic. Well, used to be. Still absolutely love it. I used to clean pools here in Florida and would go home after sweating all day long and make a pot of coffee! Crazy huh!

I love coffee and am embarassed to say that I’m addicted. Recently, my mother-in-law made Joffrey’s coffee and I loved it! (It was decaf which I normally don’t drink.) http://www.joffreys.com
PS ~ Thanks for the wonderful fall recipe!

    Illy. Definitely.
It helps if you can brew it as espresso vs. drip.

Here’s the iron that I love:

I think that I got it at Kohl’s (on sale), for $25-$30.
    HTH!

I have an iron that my mom gave me that you can try. I don’t need it. I will have the boys send it over today after school. You can check it out to see if you like it.

    Hope you are feeling well.

Also, try making a cup of hot tea. There are a lot of wonderful teas ~ I love a cup of hot tea in the afternoons. Of course, when the weather isn’t 100.

Maybe we can even have tea parties!
