Time Island is a virtual world for kids to explore, and it is FREE.
Your child can choose an avatar and start exploring the island. Complete tasks and earn items to supply your home base.
I would consider this more of a fun site than an educational one, but it does require problem-solving and creativity.
The safety features are the most important to me. There is a safe-chat mode that parents can choose where your child can only use pre-defined sentences to communicate with other players.
