Grapevine Studies – Joseph

September 26, 2011 By: amyswandering5 Comments

You might remember that our family reviewed Grapevine Studies a couple of years ago. It was one of our favorite products!

Grapevine has a new study available. The story of Joseph is one of my favorites. It is so exciting and such a great picture of forgiveness!

Our children need to learn this story about a man who stayed faithful during difficult times. Their faith (and ours too!) will be strengthened as we see how God accomplishes His will through Joseph.

Grapevine makes it so easy to study the Bible with your kids! If you can draw a stick figure, then you can do it!!

Each Bible study shows you the verses to read, the words to say, and the pictures to draw.

You can use these studies as part of a Bible curriculum, but we use it as a family bedtime study.

Everyone gets ready for bed and then gathers in the living room. Hubby teaches the lesson and draws on the white board while I help any young ones who might need a little guidance.

Because everyone wants a turn with the dry erase markers, Hubby quizzes each kid at the end of the lesson and they get to draw (and then erase!) the answer. Everyone loves it and learns it!

p.s. Click on any study book cover to view a sample lesson!

I was not compensated for this review. I received a free Joseph e-book for the purpose of sharing my honest opinion.

This looks really interesting. What ages do you think it would work best with?

It works great for my whole gang (6-14, except for the 2 yr old). I think kids 5-11 probably enjoy it the most. My dd was 4 when we started and she needed a little help staying on track, but had no problem drawing the pictures. Even though it is simple, my older girls enjoy it because it is fun and something the whole family can do together. (And don’t be fooled by the simplicity – it is a thorough study.)

If you click on the book you would like to try, there is a sample lesson. You could give it a trial run!
