We don’t do many book reports in our homeschool, but I do think it is good practice for my kids to communicate their thoughts in writing. What we use instead of traditional book report forms is a book summary sheet.
Each page has several sections for recording the page numbers and a brief summary of that day’s reading. It is a simple way to encourage narration.
To use, print 1 copy of page one – the title page
