This is one of my favorite events – the annual iHomeschool Network Back to Homeschool Basket Giveaways. We love to kick off your homeschool year each August!
The theme of this year’s basket is A Grace-Filled Home. I’ve shared before about how we like to live in rhythm with the seasons by Celebrating the Everyday. This means we try and treasure each moment, big or small, and give God the glory for it all.
We mark the seasons with Bible verses, poems, crafts, activities, recipes, journal pages – really anything that adds beauty and value to our home and minds.
I’ve assembled a basket of resources to use thoughout the year. My hope is that the items in this giveaway will be a blessing to your family.
Nature Study Through the Holidays: Advent (download) – This Christ-centered nature study by Shining Dawn Books will focus your family on different parts of the Christmas story in the month leading up to Christmas.
Hands-on History Activity Pak: The Old Testament (download) – This activity pak by Homeschool in the Woods contains lap books and projects to help you explore the Old Testament. Not only is it important for your kids to have a good grasp on the Old Testament, but it also helps them understand some of the feasts and celebrations that are still held around the world.
Give Your Child the World – This new book by Jamie C. Martin is a fantastic resource for introducing your children to a world that is far bigger than their little corner. It is filled with rich literature lists that will allow your family to travel the globe, along with suggestions for raising compassionate kids with a Godly worldview.
365 Days of Celebration and Praise: Daily Devotions and Activities for Homeschooling Families – This book makes celebrating the everyday easy with daily devotionals, scripture, and activities for all sorts of fun holidays.
Believe Storybook: Think, Act, Be Like Jesus – This big Bible storybook is so beautiful! Each story has a key question to think about, and a Jump to Jesus connection.
Blessings of Grace Cards – These cute retro cards contain scriptures and words of grace to use for memory work, or to tuck all over the house for a daily reminder.
Crayola Crystal Effects Window Markers – We love to use these to draw seasonal pics and write Bible verses on the windows. They crystalize into a cool icy look. (I forgot to include these in the basket pic – oops!)
(Note: The basket is just display and does not come with your prize. 🙂 The first three items were graciously donated to our giveaway.)
Giveaway ends August 21st and is open to US residents only.
