October 22, 2012 By: amyswandering1 Comment

Once the weather turns cooler, we love to take weekly nature walks. It is a wonderful time to talk about the Majesty & Creativity of God.

My kids almost always ask if they can take a scavenger hunt sheet with us. It adds a bit of adventure to our walks!

Nuts About Acorns

October 17, 2012 By: amyswanderingcomment

The trees on the side of our yard are heavy with acorns this year, which matches the predictions for an unusually cold winter. I am always amazed at how God designed nature to ebb & flow and provide for the animals’ needs each season.

I just adore acorns!! Maybe it’s their cute little caps, or their vintage appeal. I am coming to the realization that I’m dangerously close to decorating my house in a woodlands theme … squirrels, acorns, owls, leaves. Maybe that is why I am so in love with Fall – it gives me an excuse to bring the outdoors in!
