There are so many fun things to discover at SparkleBox! I couldn’t possibly fit them into one post, so today I will share my favorite: Creative Writing Templates

These are created for the younger kids, but I will be slipping a few of the sheets into my older girls’  writing  journals just for fun!

Here are some of the ideas I had while browsing:

Wanted Posters

  • use with fairy tales
  • fill out a poster and create a story to go with the character
  • have child create a poster for himself

Invitations

  • a royal fairy tale wedding
  • Christmas party at the North Pole
  • create a new holiday & design a celebration to go with it

Newspaper

  • send out a family newsletter
  • write up an historical event
  • use as book report
  • document an exciting event/field trip

Menus

  • use with geography study
  • re-create the menu from a favorite restaurant
  • plan food for the royal fairy tale wedding

Character Descriptions

  • book report
  • use to develop characters for a book
  • create one for each member of the family

Passports

  • Around the World study using these printable stamps
  • record favorite teams while watching the Olympics
  • create one for a fantasy story
  • use with ocean science for little ones

Lost Animal Posters

  • make one for your own pet using descriptive writing
  • create one for a monster pet at Halloween
  • or one of Santa’s reindeer at Christmas

Diaries

  • keep track of how you spend your time for 1 week
  • make a summer vacation diary for Santa or Jack Frost
  • The Very Hungry Caterpillar food diary
  • sunflower & bean plant growth records (at bottom)

Writing Frames

  • lots of blank frames & books to use with projects
  • parchment scrolls – use for history notebooks
  • finger spacing for beginner writers
  • job applications
  • school role-play set

Don’t miss the colorful border pages down at the bottom!

Adorable Preschool Coloring Pages

July 20, 2011 By: amyswanderingcomment

I just melted at the sight of these adorably-vintage ABC coloring pages for preschoolers.

I printed them all out for Sweetpea & plan on making a book out of them when she finishes.**

I am also going to print  these Learning Colors pages.

Don’t miss the Holidays & Seasons section. I guarantee that I will be printing out a set of my own to color!!

There are many, many more pages from which to choose – just look in the sidebar and start clicking.

**If you hit the Print button on the coloring page, three pages will print (the coloring page is pg 2) and there is website info at the top & bottom. I chose to copy & paste them into a blank document to get the coloring book look I was going for. I am sure there is an easier way to do this, but I don’t know what it is & it only took me about 20 minutes. 🙂
