kitchen tip tuesdays

May 22, 2007 By: amyswandering2 Comments

kitchentiptuesdaysjpg.jpeg

It’s the first ever Kitchen Tip Tuesday over at Tammy’s Recipes. My tip is for those of you who have a pasta machine. (like my handy little Ronco) I don’t make pasta with it anymore since hubby went low carb, but I’ve discovered that you can mix just about anything in it. My family loves sausage balls but my hands get tired mixing a big batch together. Just throw it all in the pasta maker & be done with it! Works great for cookie dough too. Check out all the great kitchen tips here.

I came across this while blog hopping & thought I would play along.

Our Walmart just got a REDBOX and I signed up for a free rental. We are having Family Fun Night (which is code for watch a movie and eat junk food). You can go Inside Redbox for more free movie codes.

Head on over to Monkey Kisses for more fun ideas. I think Family Fridays is fairly new, so play along & spread the word.

wfmw – 1 coupon a week

May 9, 2007 By: amyswandering3 Comments

wfmwheader_12.jpeg

Couponing is a hobby of mine. I love to clip them, organize them, get $180 worth of groceries for only $12. (Oh yes, I did!) Not everyone feels the same about those wonderful pieces of paper though. My friends have told me that that they don’t use enough coupons to make it worth the trouble to cut them out.

I am going to show you that it IS worth it, even if you only use one coupon a week. One .50 coupon a week adds up over the course of a year.

.50 x 52 weeks = $26.00 a year!

That’s $26.00 you didn’t have before you used only 1 coupon a week. You can go to the movies, buy a pair of shoes, pay down a bill, buy a couple of books. Now think of what you could do if you used 2 coupons a week!

Start by just cutting out the coupon(s) you want to use – there’s no need to cut them ALL out. An important thing to remember is to only choose a coupon for something you would normally buy, like detergent or shampoo.

Head on over to Rocks In My Dryer for some great tips!

homeschool freebies

May 8, 2007 By: amyswandering1 Comment

Note to my non-homeschooling friends: check these sites out too. They are great for school reports or summer projects!

If you haven’t taken a look at homeschoolestore.com, getcherself over there! Their site is very easy to navigate. Sign up for their email list and you will be notified of the weekly freebie. This week’s free ebook is a lapbook titled Christian Missionaries to Know. In my opinion, In the Hands of A Child is the best for lapbooks – best for me means reallllly easy to use.

Another great site is Live and Learn Press. They offer several freebies on the site, plus you can join their Yahoogroup for even more free files.

What, you haven’t had enough? Ok, head on over to the Notebooking Nook for some beautiful printable pages. She also has a great Yahoogroup to join.
