happily ever after

July 29, 2008 By: amyswanderingcomment

We were so busy last week – my little brother got married!! (He towers over me, but he’s only 22 :o) Our days were full of shopping, preparations and visiting with family. It was a wonderful time, but I’m glad things are back to normal. I’m going to spend the next few days resting and finishing up my school planning. I hope to post our curriculum plans later this week.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

wfmw – great art/craft sites for kids

July 23, 2008 By: amyswanderingcomment

Need something creative to do with your kids this summer? Check out these two awesome sites!

Art Attacks has so many wonderful projects using various methods & materials. I think it might be a TV show from England.

The Imagination Factory is a site full of art projects made by recycling stuff from around the house. You can click on Trash Matcher to sort them by materials you have on hand.

If that’s not enough to keep you busy, check out my long list of art/crafts links. It’s in the column to the right under My School Links.

Run on over to Rocks In My Dryer for tons of great tips!

wfmw – remembering wfmw favorites

July 16, 2008 By: amyswandering6 Comments

As a long-time reader of WFMW, I’ve come across tons of great tips that I want to remember. Problem is, motherhood had given me Swiss Cheese Brain and I would forget them ten minutes later. I tried putting them in my computer bookmarks, adding them to del.icio.us, or printing them out, but none of those really worked for me. One day I decided to start adding my favorite tips to the bottom of my own WFMW post (you can see an example below). All I have to do now is click on my works-for-me-wednesday category and there are all the helpful tips I’ve found each week. (Out of common courtesy, I always leave a comment on the ideas I steal borrow.)
