My kiddos voted to do Funschool for our last week of school instead of a Unit Study.
They love worksheets & puzzles!
I’ve come across several great sites while putting together their work, so here they are if you need some fun educational activities:

Every year I have good intentions of doing a traditional advent, and every year it sneaks up on me because our Thanksgiving weekend is so full.
A couple of weeks ago I came across Hubbard’s Cubbards Daily Christmas Activity Guide and realized I could start on December 1st instead!
(I realize that is probably a Duh! idea to many, but in my mind a December countdown always involved things like gluing cotton balls to Santa’s beard.)
My wheels started turning and I decided to create a December Advent Countdown Box. I picked up an adorable box at Hobby Lobby with this on the lid: “Every good gift is from above…James 1:17“.
Every night my kiddos will open the box to find these fun activities:
~ Nativity stickers – each will make a stable out of brown paper and they can choose a sticker every day to add to it. (I found mine at Mardel)
~ our Daily Reading (listed below)
~ a silly Christmas joke
~ an activity or craft for the whole family {list coming}
I am making a paper chain out of red & green paper with one key verse per day glued inside. Each day, when they remove a chain and read the verse, they will get a hint of what we will be reading that night.
If you would like to use the verses I chose for my chain, feel free to download them –> HERE <– They are in English Standard Version (ESV).
