We are starting school in a week and summer break is officially over. With a heat index near 115, I will be glad when summer is over! I am ready to get back into a routine and to update this poor neglected blog.
I am calling this week Back to School Boot Camp. I will be putting together plans for the school year and the kids will be getting the house in order (of course I will be directing helping).
Here are some plans for the week:
- get kids back on school schedule (up at 8, ready for bed by 9:30)
- divide books up into a loose schedule for the year
- make copies
- write a weekly schedule
- set up a file system
- create a planner
- make new chore charts
- come up with a list of lunch ideas
I will share my plans as I finish them. I have found so many great things while researching all of this! Because time is tight this week, I will probably do either a bunch of little posts or some long lists.
