This is a repeat of a WFMW I did last year, but it’s one of my favorites & I want to share it again.
Last week I shared how I scent my home for the holidays, so this week I thought I would take it a step further – the laundry! I’ve been a loyal Downy user for 15 years, so last summer when I received a free sample of Snuggle Wild Orchid & Vanilla Kiss I just stuck it up on the shelf. One day last October I ran out of Downy so I tossed in the Snuggle sample. I could not believe how yummy the laundry smelled as I took it out of the dryer – it smelled just like Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar products!! We had our first cool spell this week so I ran to the store yesterday to get my Snuggle :o) (Don’t worry Downy, I’ll go back to you in January, I promise!)
Run on over to Rocks In My Dryer for tons of great tips.
P.S. I need some help, dear internet friends! My son wants to be a marshmallow for Halloween. Not a bag of marshmallows, or a s’more, but a MARSHMALLOW!! Do you have any creative ideas on how I should make it?
Tips I Want To Remember:
Great tip! Now I am going to go back and check out some of your other posts…but congrats on your sweet baby Norah! LOVE the name!

Great tip – I didn’t realize they had that scent for Downy.
Great tip! As for the marshmallow, the only thing I can think of is batting for sewing. Maybe wrap him in it loosely? Or if you have a white pillow case you can cut a hole in the top for his head, the sides for the arms and then stuff that with the batting. I hope you find something that works!
The batting sounds like a great idea. Once upon a time I dressed up like a Hershey’s candy kiss, and used a large moving box as the base of my costume. Cut armholes in the side of the box; a hole for the head & body in the top and bottom. Maybe with a big box as the base, and wrapping batting around it, you could make it into a marshmallow shape. Good luck!
And the orchid and vanilla Snuggle sounds yummy 🙂
Maybe if you can find white long underwear for him, and an adult white sweatshirt, you can cut the arms off of the sweatshirt and fill it in with cotton stuffing. Other stuffings like pillows, balled up newspaper, etc might be too bulky or itchy. Not sure how to get that cylindrical shape, though.
Good luck! Your son is creative!
