No More Subscriber Freebies (It’s All Free Now!)

October 14, 2016 By: amyswanderingcomment

I’m hoping this announcement will make up a little for dropping the ball on the Journal Pages.
{ducks head sheepishly}

I took a big step back in the summer and decided to make most of my subscriber freebies available to everyone. I saved a few in reserve for subscriber freebies, including the new journal pages.

Our life has progressively gotten busier since then with good, worthwhile things. I have found myself in a predicament – I can juggle all of the behind-the-scenes work that goes along with subscriber freebies, or I can produce quality content and printables.

I can’t do both, and to make it worse … I’ve been so caught up in trying to figure out how to do it all that I haven’t done any of it!

Soooooooo over the next week I will be working on adding the pdf files to my old subscriber freebie posts. I’m sure I will miss some of them, so I will also be adding them to the resources and printables buttons to the right –>>
No more clicking on a secret page and signing in with a password.

I will also work on some new journal pages as soon as I get the chance. Thank you for being patient with me! 🙂

p.s. I will still be sending out an email every time I post something new, so go on ahead and subscribe if you don’t want to miss anything!

Sneaky Vitamins for Picky Kids

October 9, 2016 By: amyswanderingcomment

I received this product for free from Moms Meet, May Media Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer. As a Moms Meet blogger, I agree to use this product and post my honest opinion on my blog. The opinions posted are my own. This post contains affiliate links.

My 7-year old does not like taking vitamins. We’ve tried chewables, powdered drinks, and gummies (which she liked ok, but then we discovered they are terrible for teeth.) She will take them if I force the issue, but sometimes it’s just not worth the battle.

I recently came across MegaFood Kids Vitamin Boosters and my interest was piqued when I read that this vitamin powder could be mixed into juice or a smoothie. My daughter loves smoothies!

I announced that I was going to make her a smoothie using the new vitamins that we received, and then immediately regretted telling her. What was I thinking? Now she was going to be eyeballing it for anything “weird”. I blended everything as usual, tossed in a scoop of MegaFoods Kids Daily Immune Booster, and handed it over.

To my surprise, she loved it!! She didn’t say a word about anything tasting different. I thought that maybe she forgot that I put it in there, but a few days later she asked for “another one of those vitamin smoothies”.

We try to eat a low sugar, whole foods diet, so it is very important to me to find vitamins that don’t have a bunch of sugar and fillers. MegaFoods Kids Vitamin Boosters have no sugars, sweeteners, flavorings, colorings or preservatives. They are made with organic ingredients that come straight from the farm.

Take a look at these healthy ingredients:

Kids Daily Booster – vitamins, organic orange, organic blueberry, organic cranberry, turmeric root

Kids Daily B-Centered – vitamins, bacopa, organic chamomile flower, lemon balm

Kids Daily Immune – vitamin c, organic oranges, organic blueberry, organic cranberry, astragalus root, echinacea

I use the toss-it-in method so I don’t know measurements, but here are the ingredients for Sweetpea’s favorite smoothie. I’ll measure the next time we make it and do an update. If you make smoothies often, I highly recommend the NutriBullet. We’ve had ours for about 3 years and use it several times a week. It is so much easier than using a regular blender.
