FOR TODAY

Outside my window… warm, soft Fall day

I am thinking… about Christmas gift ideas for the kids to make

I am thankful for… a week of celebrations – out 18th anniversary, Sweetpea’s 2nd birthday, and MIL’s and niece’s birthdays

From the learning rooms… creepy critters week – bats & spiders (links to come)

From the kitchen… Perfectly Chocolate big birthday cupcake, freezer breakfast recipes for Hip2Save’s Holiday Challenge #1

I am creating… a stress-free holiday game plan

I am going… to park day with friends

I am reading… Psalms & Proverbs; Lies Women Believe and the Truth That Sets Them Free (fantastic!)

I am hoping… I can at least make a dent in my huge To Do list this week

I am hearing… kids playing outside

Around the house… organize my game room, switch out summer clothes for fall, clean out refrigerator

One of my favorite things… pumpkins pumpkins everywhere!

A few plans for the rest of the week: plan birthday party for Little Prince, finish up Halloween costumes

FOR TODAY

Outside my window… overcast & warm

I am thinking… about school plans for next year

I am thankful for… my year on the TOS Crew

From the learning rooms… the last week of school! We have to tie up history & math.

From the kitchen… cheddar bay biscuits for breakfast – special request by Sassyfrass

I am creating… new chore charts for the summer

I am going… to the Goodwill half price sale on Saturday

I am reading… Joshua; Radical; I Will Carry You

I am hoping… that Sweetpea continues this good sleeping pattern…I’m tired *yawn*

I am hearing… a sing-song-y baby voice

Around the house… more decluttering – I’m still on track!

A few plans for the rest of the week: get all school papers graded & filed away, finish the last of my reviews, post some giveaways!

This is what happens when you have 3 big sisters who treat you like a living baby doll. And that’s not a rash on her legs – she got into the nail polish! My hands are full with this precious one LOL.

Outside my window… it is a dark, chilly night.

From the learning rooms… we are back from our break & starting some independent study time this semester.

I am thankful for… God’s protection.

From the kitchen… I am stretching a chicken – chicken pot pie, chicken spaghetti & chicken noodle soup – yum!

I am creating… a writing station (I got the idea here).

I am going… to attempt to play the drugstore game this week.

I am reading… Lessons from the Life of Joshua ; The Ultimate Guide to Homeschooling (for a review).

I am hoping… that Sweetpea will sleep tonight! We’ve had a rough couple of weeks.

I am hearing… the kids playing the Wii.

Around the house… I need to clean out & organize the gameroom

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… make plans for my in-laws’ 40th anniversary, check in on my friend Jill & her new little princess.

Outside my window… sunny & cool, a perfect Fall day

From the learning rooms… we are studying Colonial America & are going to make a project notebook using this fun book.

I am thankful for… God’s provision in tough times

From the kitchen… if I can find a big pumpkin, I am going to try my hand at Catherine’s idea for pumpkin puree

I am creating… a list of handmade gift ideas

I am going… grocery shopping if I ever get my coupon act together – it is a great couponing week! (yes, it’s a slow week…thank goodness!)

I am reading… Proverbs 31 / The Counter-Cultural Woman: A Fresh Look at Proverbs 31

I am hoping… to get my blogging act together! LOL I have a new feature called Jingle All the Way that is a work in progress.

I am hearing… Sassyfrass trying to speak Pig Latin

I am thankful for… cooler days with the hope of Fall!

From the kitchen… yummy Carnitas

I am going… to a Women’s Ministry planning breakfast – love these!

I am reading… Titus/ God’s Beautiful Design for Women:Living out Titus 2:5

I am hoping… to finally get ALL of our school storage organized!

I am hearing… Little Prince talk about his new pet worm  LOL [never mind, he just fed it to the duck!]

Around the house… putting up the Fall decor

Sophie and her babies

Sophie is a duck from the park at the end of our street. She  waits on our porch every morning for breakfast. She hatched 12 little ducklings last Monday & now they all show up for breakfast!
