Holiday2009Class-Announcement2

Make your reservation now for Jessica Sprague’s free Holidays in Hand class.

I’ve been curious about digital scrapbooking, so this will hopefully give me a good idea of what it’s all about.

what’s your decorating style?

September 25, 2009 By: amyswandering2 Comments

quizHomePromo

The HomeGoods StyleScope is a fun little quiz to determine your decorating style. After the quiz, you can enter for a $5000 shopping spree!

My results were very accurate. It’s not really how my house looks now, but definitely the look (and feel) I am working towards.

you are a Bohemian Casual

You are interested in creating a place where people feel relaxed. You have a variety of interests and influences and so appreciate different styles, cultures, and objects. Your home is cozy, with comfy chairs, throw pillows and places to set a drink or a book. But it also feels creative and visually intriguing, because you have an artist’s eye that allows you to find objects that appeal to you in a unique and personal way—whether from your travels or from a local shop. This gives your home a feeling of being laid-back, and maybe even a bit quirky with its mix of pieces—some of which are classic, some handmade, some ethnic, and some just rich in meaning to you.

You value comfort. Your home is a warm and open friendly place, and you feel happiest when everyone is cared for and relaxed in your space. Elements like pillows, throws, overstuffed furniture, and good lighting set the mood. You may also enjoy layering different fabrics or mixing patterns to create a cozy effect.

What were your results?

$5 southern living

You can get a 1-year subscription to Southern Living if you order before 11:59pm Saturday.

This would make a great gift – you can print out a certificate on Amazon.

I used one of the $5 Amazon gift cards that I earned by using Swagbucks and got mine for free!!

(A big thanks to BooMama for the info.)

lp

It is taking great restraint to keep from signing up for a free 12-month membership to Lesson Pathways, but I feel like it would be a conflict of interest with my Link & Think blog – I have too many of the same links.

But you need to get yourself over there right now & sign up!! They are taking beta testers today only for this great site that links themes and online resources. They have some free pathways too, so I guess I don’t completely miss out 🙂

HappyComputer

Happy Monday everyone!! We’ve had internet problems for the past week, but hopefully the kinks are all worked out now. It’s frustrating to not be able to share my finds with you.

Here’s a preview of the coming week in my little corner of Bloggyworld:

~ Summer Daybookers The Simple Woman’s Daybook is on vacation until September, but she graciously set up a Mr. Linky for anyone who wants to post a Daybook through the summer.

~ The Big Curriculum Clean-Out Homeschool Creations is hosting a used curriculum carnival. Enter as many as you want, and join in if you have something to share. I will be doing giveaways here and on my Link & Think blog.

~ Free Cookies!! We taste-tested a new line of Pillsbury cookies and I have a prize package to give away to one lucky reader.

~ Quirky Holidays Did you know that today is National Watermelon Day?  Or that Aug. 8th is National Sneak Some Zucchini On Your Neighbors Porch Day? LOL I’ll be posting silly celebrations over at Link & Think and sharing some fun activities to go along. Add a little zaniness to your homeschooling!

Be sure to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss out on any of the fun!
