weblink wednesday

September 10, 2008 By: amyswandering1 Comment

I’m participating for the first time in Weblink Wednesday, a fun list of educational sites. I love online learning!

My girls have a history research project to do every week and sites like wikipedia are just over their heads (plus I don’t know if I can trust the content). I was looking for a kid-friendly search engine and that’s how I came across Kidipede.

Here are a few more history sites to enjoy:

Thinking Things by Snaith Primary there are so many fun & useful things here

Walk Through Time interactive timeline & games, printable activities

History Detectives

History on the Net printable worksheets

cinderella unit

May 25, 2007 By: amyswandering1 Comment

I’ve been sorting through my files of school papers & thought I would share some of the projects we did in our early school years (K-2).

We compared several different Cinderella stories from around the world. I printed out these pages in landscape and the girls decorated glittery construction paper for the covers. A big thanks to Teaching Heart for many of these ideas.
Cinderella Stories I didn’t print these

Compare & Contrast

An Invitation to the Ball

An Interview with Cinderella

Cinderella Needs Your Help

Dear Diary
