Build Responsibility with Goalforit!

May 27, 2011 By: amyswanderingcomment

I have been working on making a list of creative rewards/consequences for my kiddos. They are good kids and work hard … but we have issues about Mommy having to REMIND everyone to start said work.

I was preparing myself to spend a couple of hours on the computer designing charts when LO and BEHOLD! what should fall into my lap but these wonderful behavior charts.

With Goalforit.com, I was able to set up interactive charts for my kiddos in mere minutes. There are styles for little ones and for tweens.

You can choose from a menu of buttons or create your own. You child earns a sticker (with the click of the mouse) for each goal achieved.

If you want, assign Moolah points for each sticker that is earned. The points are saved in a virtual piggy bank and can be spent on Moolah Rewards – totally customized by you!

Oh, and did I mention that Goalforit.com is FREE!!

Chore charts are also available, and all charts can be printed if you don’t want your kids messing with your checking in via computer.

{I am being compensated for this post through MomSelect. The enthusiastic opinion is 100% my own.}

Dragon’s Universe

December 13, 2010 By: amyswanderingcomment

Dragon’s Universe is a fun line put out by Mega Bloks. The vehicles and action figures have to be assembled, which really appealed to the Lego©-lovers at our party.

We received several Meteor Eggs, an Ultimate Action Dragon Destroyer (215 pcs), and a Deluxe Dual-Blast Dragon Hunter (151 pcs).

The ships have missiles that really fire, and laser sound F/X & lights. If your boy is like mine, he likes anything with sounds and lights!

Amazon has some incredible deals on the Dragons Universe right now. Join Amazon Mom and get FREE 2-day Amazon Prime shipping for 3 months. As always, their prices could change at any moment, but here are the current sales:

Mega Bloks Ultimate Action Dragon Destroyer $19.99 (reg. $49.99)

Mega Bloks Deluxe Dual-Blast Dragon Hunter $12.99 (reg.$34.99)

Mega Bloks Rapid Fire Dragon Fighter $12.99 (reg. $19.99)

{I received a free Hexbug party from Mommy Parties to share with friends – all opinions are my own. The Amazon links contain my affiliate code :) }

Hexbug Nano Habitat

December 13, 2010 By: amyswanderingcomment

We pulled out a huge box of Hexbugs during a recent birthday party and the kids went nuts!! To say they were a hit would be an understatement.

We received the Hexbug Nano to review, along with the Habitat and Bridge Battle sets. If you are not familiar with Hexbugs, they are cute little robots that can race around the floor or battle it out in the Habitat.

.

The Habitats can be configured in so many ways. There are gates to be opened & closed, and lots of different tracks to hook together. Our party guests played with them all night, and then raced down the stairs the next morning to get in some more play time before they had to go home.

Our 2-year old even loves them! She shrieks with laughter as they race around the floor. (You of course don’t want to let a young child play with these unsupervised!)

I highly recommend Hexbugs as a gift that almost any child would love!!

Amazon has some great deals on the Hexbugs right now. Join Amazon Mom and get FREE 2-day Amazon Prime shipping for 3 months. As always, their prices could change at any moment, but here are the current sales:

Hexbug Bridge Battle Set $28.06

Hexbug Nano Orbit Series 5 Pack $39.99

Hexbug Nano Habitat Set $29.99
