monster sale – hurry!

February 16, 2009 By: amyswandering1 Comment

There are some great deals to be found at The Children’s Place Monster Sale. I just ordered 7 shirts, 3 dresses and a jacket for $56.94!

Here’s what I did:

Sign in on Cashbaq. They are offering 3% back for The Children’s Place. (If you are new to Cashbaq then you get an additional $5 back for registering!)

Go to Apparel and click through to The Children’s Place website. You will see an ad for their Monster Sale in the middle of the page. Add items to your cart – shipping is a flat $5.

Use the coupon SA29 when you check out to save an additional 15%

So here’s the breakdown on my order:

  • signed in to Cashbaq and clicked through to the Children’s Place website
  • ordered 11 sale items for $67.38 (including shipping)
  • entered code SA29 and dropped my total to $58.70
  • 3% of that will be deposited into my Cashbaq account after my order has processed, bringing my order to $56.94 (and you will get another $5 if you are registering for the first time)

Hurry – inventory is very limited on several items.

wfmw – getting marker off

February 4, 2009 By: amyswandering1 Comment

wfmw-p

I learned a handy-dandy little trick this week ! My daughter’s new American Girl doll ended up with marker or paint smudges all over her face & leg. (And of course Nobody did it or knows how it happened. Does Nobody live at your house too?)  I turned to my friend Google for help & discovered that acne cream with 10% benzoyl peroxide will make marker disappear off of a doll. Just spread a liberal amount on the stain, then leave the doll in the sun or under a strong light for several hours. You may have to repeat the process a couple of times.

We decided to try a test spot on the back of her heel just in case it ruined the doll.  We smeared some cream on and left her on a sunny windowsill for the afternoon. I’m happy to say it works great! Oh, and I just bought the Walmart brand acne cream. Not spending money at the American Girl beauty salon works for me!

Run on over to Rocks In My Dryer for tons of great tips!
