Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving!! We just drove in from a week in Arizona – I’ll (hopefully) have lots of pics to share, but right now I’m going to bed :o)

one of these things is not like the other

I was browsing a site with Christian avatars when I came across an odd pic. It was right smack in the middle of several pages of Bible verses. I started laughing, called the girls in, and started singing the ‘One of These Things’ song from Sesame Street. They of course guessed immediately. Can you pick it out? LOL

I posted my famous Cookie Monster recipe on Monday and mentioned that I would be putting mini M&M’s in them – I wanted them to be colorful for Sassyfrass to share with her friends.

Don’t do that…. it’s not so good.

tag… i’m it

September 19, 2007 By: amyswandering2 Comments

Carrie at Chocolate the Other white meat tagged me for a Homeschool meme. (Her blog name always makes me laugh!) So here you go:

You know you are a bona fide homeschooler when….

1. The sound of the school bus coming down the street prompts you to say, “See, if you were in public school you would just now be getting home.”

2. You race to get the camera every time you find a new critter in the yard.

3. The groaning begins when you tell your kids to add a page to their nature study notebook for the newly discovered critter.

4. Anytime the kids go outside it counts as PE.

5. Anything that involves making a mess on the dining room table counts as Art.

6. Your house is never clean for more than 5 minutes because there are four kids there ALL. DAY. LONG.

7. You go grocery shopping at odd hours of the day.

8. Your kids are always trekking across the backyard with a bag full of new books to share with your homeschooling friend who lives right behind you.

9. You get the Leap Frog Letter Factory DVD from Netflix to occupy your 4 year old while doing school with the older ones, and he learns ALL his letter sounds in one week!

10. You look forward to the last Friday of the month because it’s Homeschool Pajama Day!

I tag Jill & anyone else who wants to play along!

adieu, adieu, to you & you & you

September 8, 2007 By: amyswanderingcomment

Well, I am computerized once again. We trashed our system and started all over. I was able to put my photos on CDs and print out important homeschool & youth ministry documents, but my lovely bookmarks are gone forever :'(

Oh well, God works out everything for good – I’ve been working on simplifying my life, and now I don’t have a huge folder of links sitting there taunting me. I can sort links as I find them instead of sticking them in a folder to go through ‘someday’. Plus, since I couldn’t get to my blog for two weeks, I found some great blogs & articles to share with you – if I can remember where they are, that is ; )
