tools for homeschool planning

I love homeschool planning time! It is so much fun hunting for free curriculum links and digging through my Pinterest homeschool boards for great ideas.

Here are some free planning tools to organize your next school year:

Start by printing out a free homeschool planner. There is something for everyone on my huge round-up list!

Map out your weeks on my favorite school year calendar.

Save some money by keeping a running curriculum list.

Compare prices with this curriculum price comparison sheet.

Buy or sell some used curriculum.

Include the little ones with this tot school planning form.

Find time for extras like crafts and nature study with a theme of the day.

Make use of your games & supplies by filling out an activity grid.

Print out a good morning guide to start your school day.

Do you want to step away from boxed curriculum? I show you how in my Create Your Own Curriculum series.

Monthly Planning Notes {Free Printables}

October 10, 2013 By: amyswandering4 Comments

monthly planning notes

At the beginning of the school year, I created some monthly planning notes to give me a creative overview of our year. They have worked so well that I want to share them with you!

I wanted to be able to schedule out seasonal themes and activities, but a monthly calendar wasn’t giving me enough space. My planning notes are broken into weeks with plenty of room for writing.

A few of the things I list in my notes:

  • the week # (so I can coordinate with our school calendar)
  • our weekly Funschool theme
  • letter & # of the week for my preschooler
  • holidays
  • field trips
  • craft ideas
