*Jingle* All the Way (to the Bank)

November 3, 2011 By: amyswanderingcomment

It’s that time of year when the crazy deals start rolling out, which means it is once again time for the *Jingles*!

I am not one to skip over Thanksgiving and start celebrating Christmas in November. (Except for the music – once my local station starts playing the carols, I just can’t resist!)

I am, however, one to take advantage of all the fantastic sales that come rolling out before the Halloween candy is even off the shelves.

If you see *Jingle* in a post title, you can bet there is a good deal waiting for you! Many are time sensitive, so Like, Follow, or get an Email (sign-up on the right–>) from Are We There Yet? and *Jingle* all the way to the bank!

{31 Days} Grocery Shopping Helper

October 11, 2011 By: amyswandering2 Comments

I came across a very helpful site today called Food on the Table.

It combines a menu plan with your local store sales and creates a customized grocery list. For free!!

Here is how it works:

  • Create an account.
  • Choose a local grocery store from the list.
  • Select your food preferences (low-carb, kid friendly, Italian, etc).
  • You will then be given a list of meats – ones that are on sale that week & also regular price- choose the ones you like. (Or do like I did & also choose stuff you have on hand so it will give you recipes for it.)
  • The website will give you a bunch of recipes based on all of your choices. (You can narrow the recipes by Cheap, Quick, Healthy, or Simple) Choose the ones you want included in your meal plan.
  • Once you have picked your recipes, you will be given a grocery shopping list that you can print out or add to your phone as an app.

Making a menu plan based on weekly sales is a great way to save money as food prices climb higher each week. Combine Food on the Table with the Coupon Mom database and save even more!

Here are a few more easy-to-use menu/grocery planning sites:

Money $aving Monday

July 18, 2011 By: amyswanderingcomment

A few of the sites that I visit frequently have weekly deals, and I receive several emails a week alerting me to sales on great products. I thought I might start posting them here every Monday so that we can all reap the rewards.

I will be posting my affiliate links on some of the deals, but feel free to go directly to the site if you do not want to click through my links!**

~ The 2010 Motivated Moms Chore Planner is on sale for $4 – that’s half off! It is a great way to check it out.  (This is the one I use for my lazy woman’s price book.)

~CurrClick Freebie of the Week – Moveable Alphabet

~ CBD Homeschool Deal of the Week – 30% off Hooked On Phonics

**I only post affiliate links to sites that I really like, and that I think might be beneficial to my readers!
