For those of you who aren’t familiar with craigslist, it is an online classifieds site. You can buy stuff, sell stuff, look for a job, etc. I love, love, love it! The key to finding great items for a great price is to check it often. You can even add a particular category or search to your feed reader by clicking on the RSS button in the bottom right corner of the page.

Here are a few of the goodies we’ve bought:

• LoveSac SuperSac for our gameroom for $65 (retail $719)
• twin captain’s bed w/ bookcase headboard for $40
• a stove for $20!! We just moved and our new house didn’t have a stove. The appliances are white, which I’m not fond of, and my refrigerator is black. I decided to get a white stove with a black oven door to tie everything together until we can replace them. I was thrilled to find an older stove in great shape – it just needed a $15 plug!

Sometimes you will come across a real treasure without even looking for it. I recently bought a little animated singing Christmas tree for only $4. We had just thrown ours away because it was falling apart. Normally that would not be a big deal, but it belonged to our son Elijah who we lost several years ago to Leukemia.
