Simple Christmas Countdown Giveaway

November 1, 2013 By: amyswanderingcomment

{This post contains my affiliate link.}

My good friend Jill of The Sassy Slow Cooker and Blessed Beyond a Doubt has a brand new Simple Christmas Countdown Planner!

She created her planner years ago as a tool to avoid the craziness of an over-planned, stressed-out Christmas season. I’ve seen glimpses of it over the years and am thrilled that she has now made it available to everyone.

One of the things I love about Jill is that she is super organized but keeps it uncomplicated, so organizationally-challenged people like me can easily follow along. Simple Christmas Countdown comes with all of the pages, dividers, and covers that you will need for TWO years! This means you can navigate a peaceful Christmas season and then immediately start on next year’s plans. Don’t we all love a fresh start in January?

The pages you will find in this 2-year Christmas Countdown Planner:

  • 2013-2014 Calendar Pages for the months of November and December
  • Notebook Cover, Dividers, and Spine Covers
  • Budget Planner
  • Inventory List
  • Homemade Gift List
  • Stocking Stuffer List
  • Advent and Tradition Ideas
  • Christmas Card List
  • Master Gift List
  • Individual Gift List
  • Cleaning List
  • Menu Plan
  • Recipe Section

Jill also adds in her tips for using each of the pages, and shows you how to keep the planning going all year long instead of waiting until the last minute.

The Simple Christmas Countdown Planner is only $3.99. Such a small price to pay to be able to focus on what really matters this Christmas!

I get to give away TWO planners – ONE for you and ONE for a friend!!

Giveaway ends Thursday, November 7th

Monthly Planning Notes {Free Printables}

October 10, 2013 By: amyswandering4 Comments

monthly planning notes

At the beginning of the school year, I created some monthly planning notes to give me a creative overview of our year. They have worked so well that I want to share them with you!

I wanted to be able to schedule out seasonal themes and activities, but a monthly calendar wasn’t giving me enough space. My planning notes are broken into weeks with plenty of room for writing.

A few of the things I list in my notes:

  • the week # (so I can coordinate with our school calendar)
  • our weekly Funschool theme
  • letter & # of the week for my preschooler
  • holidays
  • field trips
  • craft ideas

Talk Like a Pirate Day is September 19th, and we are having some piratey fun this week!

I created a pirate-themed assignment sheet to plan out our activities. I’ve also added it to my list of September assignment sheets.

Check out my Shiver Me Timbers! post if you need some creative ideas!

Homeschool Theme of the Day

July 25, 2013 By: amyswandering2 Comments

theme of the day

We had great success last year with our Theme of the Day Chart!

With 5 kiddos needing my attention, it was hard for us to fit in the fun stuff like crafts or artist studies. Adding them to our morning homeschool routine allows us to stay on track without the extras slipping through the cracks.

I am changing it up just a bit this year by using Wednesday to focus on Geography instead of Writing. Last year’s Theme of the Day Chart is still available if that suits you better.

{All of the links below are FREE, but that could change so double check!}
